My Adventure Abroad: Miami to Mysore

Hi, my name is Melissa Villegas! I am currently an undergraduate student attending Florida International University (FIU) majoring in Psychology and on the pre-physician assistant track.

I plan to pursue a masters in Physician Assistant Studies and later specialize in pediatrics.

I am very excited for my journey abroad as this presents the perfect opportunity for me to broaden my horizons and expand my knowledge on healthcare systems in other parts of the worlds.

My main focus of research while studying in India is the topic of sex trafficking amongst women and girls. This is a topic I have been interested in for a while and I am hoping to learn more about it while abroad.
